How to Make Apple Crisps, Cost of Dry Cleaning in Korea, Grilled Duck

Hello, lovely people! ^^ How was your weekend?

I was craving apple crisps, so I baked some. Let me share with you this super easy apple crisp recipe.

My parents-in-law used to pay for dry cleaning when we lived together. It was my first time to pay this winter… and boy, was I shocked when I received my bill! How expensive can dry cleaning be in Korea? Let me tell you…

Grilled duck is the next best thing to grilled beef and pork. We went to our favorite duck meat restaurant to enjoy a holiday meal. Let’s enjoy the meal together! ^^

THANK YOU AND HAVE A MEANINGFUL WEEK! 😉

K-drama Filming Location: Changdeok Palace

K-dramas such as “Kingdom”, “Jewel in the Palace”, “The Crowned Clown”, “Rooftop Prince”, etc. are just some of the dramas that were partly filmed in Changdeokgung. Changdeokgung, however, is more than just a Korean drama filming location. It is one of South Korea’s UNICEF Cultural Heritage Sites and a favorite residence of many kings of the Joseon Dynasty. Find out why in this vlog.

Because of the pandemic, there are currently no palace tours in Changdeokgung, but it’s open to the public from 9:00 AM to 5:30 or 6:00 PM depending on the month.

My friends and I took a stroll around the palace and its vast garden on Wednesday. There weren’t a lot of visitors, so I suggest you go there on a weekday. Palace admission is free, but if you want to explore the famous Secret Garden, you should pay 5,000 Won for a ticket. (2,500 Won for children)

Bring bottled water and wear flats, because you’ll be walking a lot. Don’t fret, the walk won’t tire you. The view is magnificent and the sound of nature will relax you. You won’t even feel time pass.

There are packages available for visiting nearby palaces. If you want to feel like a character from your favorite K-drama, you can rent a hanbok there and do a photoshoot, but please be reminded that resting on the benches, buildings and pavilions is not allowed. Food is also not permitted, so you can’t have a picnic there.

How to get to Changdeokgung:

By Subway to Anguk Station, take Seoul Subway Line 3, Exit 3

By Subway to Jongno 3-ga Station, take Seoul Subway Line 1,3,5, Exit 6 or 7

By Bus, take Bus Number 109, 151, 162, 171, 172, 272, 7025, Get off at Changdeokgung Palace bus stop.
